2017 Scholarship Recipients Sandhills North Carolina Black Nurses Association

Lauran Lisbon is a rising senior Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree student at Fayetteville State University.  She is currently practicing as a Licensed Practical Nurse; however, she has the goal of becoming a Registered Nurse.  She is active in student organizations and currently appointed as the Sergeant of Arms for Fayetteville State University Student Nurses Association.  She also serves at the state level as the Legislative Director for the North Carolina Student Nurses Association.  She is scheduled to graduate Spring 2018.

Kristia Manning Smith is a second-year Associate Degree in Nursing student at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She currently practices as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She has always been an advocate for community service and activism. She enjoys volunteering with various church organizations, health fairs, and free clinics when possible.  She is pursuing her goal to become a Registered Nurse and scheduled to graduate Spring 2018.
