Black men in health care professions

Posted over 8 years ago by Leshonda Wallace

Greetings,

My name is Koji Chavez and I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Adia Harvey Wingfield, sociology professor at Washington University in St. Louis. We are conducting a project on black men in the health care field. Specifically, we are studying how changes in the health care industry (increased attention to cultural competency, focus on health disparities, and so forth) have impacted the everyday experiences of black men in health care professions.  Please see Professor Wingfield’s webpage here: https://sociology.wustl.edu/people/adia-harvey-wingfield.

We were hoping you could help put us in contact with study participants. Interviews only take an hour, and anything shared with us will be kept confidential and anonymous.

If you’re interested, please contact me at kchavez@wustl.edu or call 949-939-1204. This is a unique opportunity to contribute sociological research. We hope you decide to help us out!
