On Saturday April 8, 2017, the Sandhills North Carolina Black Nurses Association (SNCBNA) will host our Third Annual Awards and Scholarship Luncheon from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, at the Heritage Place, 325 N. Cool Spring Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.  The NBNA theme this year is: “Nursing Innovations: Building a Healthy Community.”  We will award scholarships to deserving nursing students, honor a nurse educator who works with students to help them become clinically and culturally competent nurses, and/or award a community leader who has made significant contributions to improving the health for people of color and to reducing health disparities in their communities.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Ernest J. His is currently the Vice President of the American Nurses Association, and he is the first male to hold this position in the 120-year history of the American Nurses Association.
